The Latin American HR team was overdue for an HRIS system, but the training of this new application was daunting: learners were scattered across nine countries, many employees worked in the field and did not use computers often, training materials had to be translated into two languages, and the trainers were inexperienced. The solution, in part, was to complete a comprehensive needs analysis, which included an examination of project risks, the tasks and levels of competency required, and the location of the learners. The result was a very successful system roll-out and multiple comprehensive training courses for over 2,100 people.
